Nice touch on checkout from UberEats in Japan, which has no culture of tipping for restaurant service. Quoting approximately: [ ] + 100 yen: "I love this restaurant." Support this restaurant. (?) The (?) was "100 yen of support will be gifted to the restaurant on your behalf."

If UberEats in the US is any indication, Uber just keeps the tip.

So your mental model is that the publicly traded company, which has just written "We will pay 100 yen to the restaurant on your behalf" on an invoice, is factually paying 0 yen to the restaurant? Do you understand why I assess probability that scenario is right at below 0.01%?

Would you like a friendly wager with settlement to charity on this topic, Denis? What odds are you offering?

I don't think it's impossible I think it is extremely unlikely. You appear to think it is likely. I would like you to put a number on that likelihood, so that I can encode it into a friendly proposition wager. Do you think it is 50% likely? 25% likely? 5% likely? etc

He alleged fraud. I said fraud was extremely unlikely, in a way which was extremely polite. I continue to believe I am right. If you believe fraud is happening as was alleged, give my money to charity. If not, may you find places on the Internet more to your liking.
