Ah, fair enough. I did not want to misconstrue your position. I do think we have fared far better with distributed voices who are not in formal positions of press authority. Everyone does not have the resource of a good Twitter feed and I am sympathetic to that.

I don’t think saying that the last few days have been Twitter’s finest hour, and that many lives have likely been saved by people saying what they’re seeing, is inconsistent with saying that there is non-trivial marginal value in having a press. Will elaborate. Someday.
