After seeing the thread from the Slack CEO I think I'm going to start a diary. So much is happening, so quickly, and it's overwhelming my working memory, but we're living history in real time and anything not committed to paper or electronic media (and much that is) will be lost.

It's therapeutic, and a hundred years from now, some elementary school student asked the difference between a primary and a secondary source will say "A primary source is a document recorded in real time, like that one from 2020 we read about. The textbook is a secondary source."

How do you organise these? Even a minute a day is 6hrs of memos per year. You'll probably never play them again?

I’m probably going to set up a pipeline to transcribe them automatically so that I get searchability. Write only memory is useless, but writing 10000 log lines when you only need 1 is all sorts of useful if you can’t know which 1 in advance.
