I haven't seen people talking much about the inevitable tensions that are coming between different regions of the US, as some places get sicker faster than others. Regrettably a lot of this may map onto the red state/blue state divide and irretrievably politicize public health

Dude that's already happening. 600+ deaths/day in Spain an Italy since last week already. People are not going to cross countries though, sociocultural barriers are higher than ever. For sure in Europe, probably elsewhere.
