Companies employ people like this for expats. I worked with one when I was an intern in Tokyo, and I know someone who does this for Honda in Toronto. They’re not called “case workers” I’d guess but sounds similar in concept.

In Quebec they teach you all this stuff in the french classes that are free for all immigrants. Reportedly it’s quite amazingly useful for people adapting to a new culture.
