A disturbing large percentage of citations of some of my best work say "Written in 2012 but still relevant", which a) is a direct artifact of the blogging form factor, b) is an unforced error, and c) I should just fix forever when I achieve activation energy.

but dont you have any content that *is* date-sensitive?

I can always write "This content is date-sensitive; I intend it to be basically valueless in 24 hours. If you see it on the Internet after March 3rd 2020, please email me so I remember to delete it." on a piece if the spirit moves me. Or *sigh* tweet it. Argh.

Out of curiosity, what do you like about Jekyll? I'm quite familiar with Hugo and curious how they compare and if it's worth considering as an alternative.

Jekyll (and most CMSes) _really_ wants work to be tied to a date. I managed to get rid of it, but then as someone who often doesn’t give titles to things either, I ended up with a lot of posts with no legible referent.
