NoCode is a gift to kids in particular. If I was in high school, I’d master two freemium software tools, build a product, and start making money online ASAP. For the first time in history, you can build a $1 million software business without writing a single line of code.

I'm skeptical of this being a thing to recommend to kids generally, but I know two high schoolers who published a book of interviews by a) emailing people, b) interviewing them, and c) collecting them into an e-book, and their sales greatly, greatly exceeded McDonalds wages.

SaaS is less software and more service than people appreciate, and many commercially productive engineers get surprised by the difficulty of marketing and sales when they can devote substantial effort to both. I also am skeptical that the tooling here is production ready.

Then again I’m skeptical of my skepticism given how Excel/email/etc is also not production-ready but the entire world runs on it anyway.
