Education is broken. Here is what the future of education will look like: 1. Teaching will become an extremely lucrative profession. Salaries will follow a power law. The best teachers will make millions of dollars per year and teach thousands of students per year.

Do you think teachers for super-niched-technical-thingy will have a viable market to make a living like this when there's no shortage of technical training/docs available for stuff already?

I personally have met at least 50 people who make a reasonable engineering salary doing that. “No shortage of information” doesn’t necessarily match with lived experience of customers or align with the value prop to the customer.

“You could have your engineers spend two weeks reading free information on the Internet about (without loss of generality) React, or, interested in a Plan B that doesn’t cost you $100k and a failed project?”

Also, "no shortage of information" doesn't mean folks have time/ability/motivation to wade through it and extract the relevant bits that they actually care about. It's pretty rare Doing it for them is a huge value prop It's a form of aggregation theory:https://twitter.com/ZainRzv/status/1226584013432713216?s=19 …

Have written a lot on this over years; Amy Hoy and Nathan Barry have written more. Technical ebooks are a wonderful market to be in. Search HN for comments from patio11 mentioning ebook for some threads on subject, or try blogs of above two.
