Who *are* the Matt Levines of everything? The world needs at least one of him ~everywhere, and could presumably actually economically support one of him in many, many more places than it does in status quo.https://twitter.com/preinheimer/status/1228376816219574277 …

At @patio11’s advice I started reading @matt_levine’s newsletter. This was the right choice! It’s well written, it’s interesting, and it’s helped me improve my understanding of banking/finance/stocks/etc. Who are the Matt Levine’s of other industries? Who else should I read?

Should there be a Matt Levine of law? Well, could you get a lawyer to pay $200 a year for MLoL? Seems clearly a yes. Are there many more than 5,000 lawyers in the world? OK, done, that's viable and competitive with a moderately successful law practice. Logic generalizes.

Would you subsrcibe to the MLoL? What would you want to hear about? The Matt Levine of corporate law might not be that different from Matt Levine.

Is there anyone who structured @matt_levine posts in a form: Chapter 1: Cases from Everything is a securities fraud, Chapter 2: Insider trading cases, Chapter 3: Wework lessons, etc.?

Law is a bit more complicated, because legal systems are different almost everywhere, which makes it very hard to do a generalized newsletter about it, but your point still gets across, and there are still probably 5000 lawyers willing to pay $200 in a lot of places.

@BrettKollmann is the Matt Levine of football. One of the best youtube channels I have ever seen.

Ken White (@popehat) is a pretty good analogue for federal prosecutorial process and 1st amendment stuff. He tweets prolifically and runs "All the President's Lawyers" on the US presidential bruhaha and "Make No Law" which his highly-produced on landmark 1A caselaw.
