Periodic plug for http://bench.co , particularly if you're stressing on business bookkeeping prior to tax season. I never bought back so many hours so cheaply.
*shrug* Biggest single difference IMHO is effectively market segmentation. Quick implications: 1) Bench does cash-based bookkeeping exclusively to my understanding and that Pilot does accrual exclusively to my understanding. 2) Relative level of automation. 3) Other services.

I probably would think seriously about doing things differently if I were running something which was out-of-character with my previous companies, but at moment *shrug* feel like Bench is perfectly adequate for the typical case Internet-based software-oriented shop in my circles.

Makes sense! My read on it was "far cheaper, but you don't like, actually get a live bookkeeper" -- so, for a lot of companies a better deal, until you really need that bookkeeper :-) Thanks!
