An amusing consequence of spending 25 years on the Internet is that the number of people/firms/projects you’re ambiently aware of is higher than most people’s model for how many it is reasonable to be aware of.

It’s interesting what weird knowledge we pick up from our parents industries. I know more about Canadian health care than I’ve any right to, despite my only exposure to it being needing healthcare occasionally, and drafting as-built blueprints for a summer job.
