An amusing consequence of spending 25 years on the Internet is that the number of people/firms/projects you’re ambiently aware of is higher than most people’s model for how many it is reasonable to be aware of.

Is it fair to say that you remember these because your brain is wired to think like a writer who captures these moments for later usage (for your pieces) ?

Slightly different pathway with same result: I have unusually good memory for almost everything I’ve ever written (enough to remember “Ah, I had a comment on that thread saying X and it should be searchable with the exact phrase $FOO”).
