I’m not opposed to dynamiting status hierarchies in principle, but I’m extremely surprised that the WSJ would choose to do it over a feature that probably 1% of their readership will use.
Updating my bucket list to move one goal from the "likely to happen eventually" sublist to the "not worth the effort" one. Sad.

Had the same thought. I know a couple people who are *very* proud of their WSJ portrait.
Going to be real awkward when someone asks, “So you were featured in the Journal??” “Uh, well, not exactly...and by that I mean no.”
I believe that particular status market has been moved to an assisted-living facility.
