(This offered as an example; while it's true that I have an aesthetic preference for cute-little-local-coffee I think Starbucks probably gets 80% of my coffee spend due to being right next door to work and my favorite two places not recruiting enough loyalists to pay rent.)

Hmmm. I like that for some scenarios! For others where my beliefs are pretty deeply rooted in values that mean a lot to me, but I don’t necessary think people who disagree are bad people, just value other things I can’t relate to... “aesthetic” seems to downplay my values
