Many successful SaaS co's sell to one department & need a champion there (e.g. someone w/in HR who pushes the department to adopt the product). What are examples of successful co's that have a champion who evangelizes across depts? E.g. an IT product that impacts lots of teams?

Thanks. I was thinking more about tools where you can't start with one department, you have to start with multiple from day one.
