How many for loops exist in the world relative to problems which clearly should be solved by a for loop? It can’t be as high as 10%.

I’m not sure what your tweet is saying, but I use for loops or similar a lot more in JS than Ruby. It’s not dumb programmers, just programmers’ actions being influenced by their environment.
