I wonder what % of hypergrowth startups could have a negative article written about the culture of the company if a reporter went fishing. Probably something like 99%. It’s probably 99% of all companies, actually. That doesn’t make it good, it just makes it unsurprising.

This is one of those Michael Crichton amnesia things: we *know* that we could find, a Google away, multiple pieces decrying Mother Teresa, Halloween, the new Mulan movie, or gardening, but then forget about that with respect to business news and assume coverage will track virtue.
