It's much more fun than I would have expected it to be, too. It turns out that a huge amount of productivity is unlocked by network structure, and the default network structure is so outlandishly suboptimal that just making 2 people aware of each other can accelerate their work.

(This is also the shadow case for community work being much more important than it is broadly considered to be. The value in causing people to break bread together is not interesting dinner conversations it is in some discount to the years of collaboration than happen afterwards)

I think people scandalously underrate the Internet. I think *I* probably scandalously underrate the Internet, even though I will likely write an essay about taking the Internet seriously. We got the best cheat code ever vis-a-vis prior generations but it's considered frivolous.

What would you pay to be on the same Internet with e.g. Einstein? What if I told you that you're already on a better Internet than that one and it's effectively free? Cat photos and trolls are not the only things out there!
