Partly a few of these just feel like obviously righteous, partly they're part of an ongoing renegotiation between employees and management about how compensation is structured. I hope some parts of that broad renegotiation become more normative for employers generally.

e.g. One of the best things that the tech industry ever did was making equity a universal part of the package, and it would be wonderful if that became a broader norm.

This idea resonates with me so much. I’ve long hated (as the employer) this is your last moment, you must leave now and sign this. There has to be a more humane way for the individual and organization. Thanks for some very specific inspiration here

Big plus one on severance for all people who leave. 1/ encourage voluntary departures to be transparent so you can plan for their leaving and 2/ if at any point, 3mths pay seems more attractive to someone than staying you *want* them to tell you and leave.
