Anyone know good tools for automated testing of spreadsheets? I'm thinking of unit and integration tests, although property-based stuff might also be good. Or spreadsheet linters - do those exist? In general, I'm curious how people "productionize" business-critical spreadsheets!

We're seeing a growing adoption of Python for this. Have a look at my blog post here: https://xlwings.org/blog/unittests-for-microsoft-excel … or at one of my recent talks: https://youtu.be/PiJzmES1n6Y?t=750 … (starts at the relevant minute where I show a whole Continuous Integration workflow - sounds crazy, I know)

Analyzing spreadsheets is a 90/10 problem (easy to address common use cases, extremely difficult in general). INDIRECT and the new spill formulae make static analysis difficult since you need to look at the sheet values It's probably better suited for a consultancy than a SaaS.

I’d love to see what you want to do. At
@StandardLibrary I think we could actually implement this around Google Sheets pretty easily. Definitely not what our product is designed for, but a happy accident that we can deliver this functionality over multiple “environments.” DM me?Thanks.
