Back in the day $Xk annually was clearly achievable on someone’s first business, $X0k you had a line of site to after a few years, and $X00k was the best operators in the best markets.
Shift all of those up by 10X+ these days.

anecdote, but I have a pitch on monday from a guy I reached out to from Twitter, who has a little SaaS thing that's unique & in a niche field, looks like he's founder & only employee, and I'm a gate keeper at a fortune 100
-
Given the legal and compliance concerns that F100 cos have, is it feasible that a solo hacker could clear the hurdles?

Is this still true given how saturated SaaS is now? There are more tools, but over 15+ years of building means SaaS has entered a lot of niches. Is there still an 80% of niches/total value yet to be tapped out there, or is it more like the remaining 20% not yet tapped?

SaaS isn't saturated! Those tools don't have nearly 100% adoption in most niches, and the amount of money available for business process automation in
$FIELD would pay a *lot* of founders $250k a year. - 1 more reply
