But can you imagine a code path at some financial institution where it was actually optimal to say “none =7 (undefined)”? Yeah, there are a lot of ways for that to happen, and if you were checking it by hand you’d go crazy but computers count to big numbers fast.

So basically you just throw arbitrary out-of-spec data up against the API to see if it runs faster and still does the right thing?
