I bought some WeWork bonds with the intention of holding them to maturity. My thesis: 1) I believe the business is a good one on a per-location basis over medium term. 2) SoftBank is pot committed to success of it. 3) I distrust bandwagons and wanted to short this one.

Anyhow, tagging this thread for a "Hey guys, remember that time I bought those WeWork bonds?" update in May 2025. (Price on the bonds was about ~98, so as of today I'd be down about ~20% or so, but nothing has happened to materially change my view in last few weeks.)

The only thing that annoys me about my small reckless pot is thus far it seems to have long term better results than doing the right thing, so there's still the temptation to do the wrong thing with the big pot.

Have you ever been in a WeWork? It’s remarkable great free advertising for small local coffee shops.

Yes love it. This is how I view Robinhood. If you want to take a small pot of money and learn about the economy for fun - have at those commission free trades - be damned what the fin commentators say.
