Mine: “Resource(s)” when used as a synecdoche for people. This is the one word choice one could use in good faith that I will go to the mattress on. “TL;DR” is anti-intellectual and demeaning of colleagues. “Content” auto-commoditizes professional work.https://twitter.com/zebriez/status/1186706161069805568 …

In their defense, I can be verbose. Summary is a nice balance

But to the larger point, busyness can be an excuse for “anti-intellectualism” as you put it, in a bad way

I'm confronted by this. Looks like I have some soul-searching to do.

The above framing isn't great, but I can't disagree more with the "TL;DR is anti-intellectual" stance if you grant there is value to a "summary". I'd like to think that any intellectual who works on the internet could grok^H^H^H^H understand tongue-in-cheek internet slang

Don't vehemently disagree often, but will go to the mats for the ability to use internet-native phrasing in work product

My mental model based on experience: "Summary"=="Skip this section, just a longer TOC". "TL;DR"=="Author took the time to identify only the necessary & sufficient bits of info, can be used to remind of content in future"
