Spanish has two courtesy levels for second person pronouns, "tu" (familiar) and "usted" (respectful). For names, it has three treatments of respect: FirstName (familiar), Don FirstName (respectful but with some familiarity) and Señor Surname (like English Mr S).

Modern Spain is moving exclusively to Firstname and tu for every interaction, which is to be liked for its egalitarian push. But the reason is butting in is that there's a lot to be said about the recognition of dignity in treating strangers by "Usted" and "Señor/Señora"...
