At work we were shown a deck by someone who has a foot in engineering and hr. They did a lot of exit interviews over the last year and found out that the cause of quite a lot of people leaving our (fast growing) engineering team was due to _loneliness_.

@BeautAnon is a podcast by@ChrisGethard which deals exactly with this. 1 phone call. 1 hour. No names. No holds barred. That’s the premise behind Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People and I think more people should know about it.

I've found getting a therapist/life coach incredibly useful because you actually pay them to sit, listen, and discuss your life with you. Friends can fill that role, but a life coach is probably going to have skillets that your friends won't.
