I am an extremely prolific author and a very occasional podcaster. The people who feel the greatest degree of kinship to me aren’t the ones that I’ve made the most money for, nor the ones who’ve read every word I’ve written. It’s *always* the podcast folks.

(The degree to which this relationship is asymmetrical is occasionally weird to me. Imagine meeting someone for the first time and having them immediately react like they know you better than e.g. your friends from high school. Now imagine that they’re actually mostly right.)
