My son Liam, 2, always comes to me with a banana: “Daddy. Peel.” And then I peel it for him. Today, immediately after directing me to peel his banana, he presents me with a peeled banana for me. Parenthood is a trip.

My 16-month-old puts pieces of graham cracker in her mouth and then takes them out and offers them to me. I’m glad to hear it gets better.

Patrick, if you want a bit of banana advice, and believe me, I once only knew of bananas as a peeled item too, but there is a better way. Rip it. In half. Rip it apart. Piss outside. And unleash the ape.

Nephew, then about 3, had just learned "No" was a big deal, at dinner he said "No beans" as he ate the beans. Time flies, he's married now!
