@patio11 なにか質問をします。
I have a 2 year old son. His language skills in English are advanced. I will certainly help him pursue fluency in a foreign language. My vague question is this, which one will be in his best interest?

There’s a lot of ways to construe interest; the one which I thought of as a college student was “Which generates comparative advantage, in that there is a large bidirectional flow of economic value over X language but X is rare in US and English is rare there?”

Given that heuristic Chinese and Japanese plausibly seem like good bets to me. Korean a bit less. There’s also a bit of a “The language that is in your true interest is the one that gets its hooks in deep enough such that you achieve meaningful proficiency”, theory be darned.
