A related sobering thought: anything you don’t capture in writing and make discoverable will have to be remembered by your loremasters, grizzled veterans of 3 winters whose wisdom and sagacity is as feared as it is renowned.

People outside the ecosystem often remark that this is a consequence of overly frothy job markets and poor long-term retention. *It is not*, as you could verify by asking a loremaster who knows how to query the retention number, but now supports 16 employees growing at 2x/year.
