A lot of the people who "came up on the Internet" approximately simultaneously to me running software companies, who were very quiet when their businesses were the size of mine, are now running rather large software companies, still very quietly.

What happens at 10M? 1M makes sense that all of a sudden you can afford W-2 back office and such?

Around 10M the management technology "everybody always knows what everybody is doing" starts to break down and you have to start getting serious about things like project management, hiring, internal processes, etc.

the weirder part for me was the “friends/colleagues that got there & still have the same job as me”. We don’t tell hardly any stories of what comes next after an entrepreneurial venture.
