“Isn’t the market for X saturated?” After literally years of being told that by technologists about software, books, etc etc I can’t think of almost any market which has ever been saturated in the way that people claim every market is saturated. Freaking *Starbucks* is not.

Tagging the above tweet as being in no way sarcastic; they factually are one of the best real estate operations in the US (Walgreens and McDonalds also very good at this even within their categories) and they absolutely will take two corners.

Is it peak Starbucks??? Probably not, but who knows. Locations adjacent to almost every subway entrance in Manhattan. ~83 in during the 00s and presently 240. 83 is from my hazy memories of an early YouTube video trying to visit & drink from them all.

In places like Manhattan opposite corners can be minutes apart given how unpleasant street crossing on foot can be & very high pedestrian density makes complete sense to have 2 SBUX kitty cornered

Not to mention Luckin which, despite Starbucks having cornered the Chinese market for the past decade, is pushing them out
