There are people who know me professionally who on meeting me for the first time express surprise I have ever been to Japan, where I have lived continuously for my entire 15 year career. Someone will learn I work at Stripe from this tweet, I guarantee it.

I have had at least three meetings this year where half an hour in someone realized that they have been reading my blog, in some cases for years, without realizing that I also have a physical form that could strictly hypothetically be in a meeting with them.

100% true -- but best way to get them to remember is to tell them a story or anecdote that has those facts embedded into it vs repetition. People cannot un-remember these stories and willingly repeat them.
