Apropos of nothing: a function of brokers is keeping a finger on the pulse of the market and thereby laundering quotes into market color without giving up the identity of the actual quote. I'm not a broker but w/r/t this topic you're not crazy to model me like one.

This tells me Stripe doesn't pay near top of market. Is that true?
-
I only know one salary at Stripe, to avoid awkward conversations where someone tells Stripe that I told them to charge more.

Am a huge fan of your famous Salary Negotiation post. But never really know what reasonable salaries are. Any advice on where to find decent salary info for a person with ~5 years experience, in the greater Seattle area?

Ask trusted peers or ask the market. I broadly do not think that there exists a good publicly available repository of this kind of thing or a product that can be conveniently bought. (Compensation consultants exist to give companies ammunition not to accurately reflect market.)

Do you have any similar knowledge of the UK labour market?
-
Only that it is much cheaper especially outside of London/finance.
