@patio11 if you were looking to do address validation in Japan is there a service that you would use? Struggling to find something that works

Post office can trial deliver a letter for you optionally w/ ID verification, w/ a programmatic notification of success, which is the gold standard for highly-regulated address verification. If you need something less stringent not sure about options but they exist.

That's definitely good, this is however for a megacorp doing product delivery to Japanese addresses, was thinking along the lines of an API that would allow us to not roll it in house

It scales, too, but roger w/r/t the e-commerce use case. Will ask around the office.
