1. There are lots of handy unix shortcuts: Ctrl-a - beginning of the line Ctrl-e - end of the line Ctrl-u - clear the line (from the cursor) Ctrl-w - delete backwards one word 2. Many of these are quietly supported by apps you use everyday (e.g. Slack and Chrome)
