Idea: edit the copy in Google Docs, sync changes to production. Instantly. No extra copy-paste-to-template step. That would be some slick SaaS.

@patio11 So it was more like an internal knowledge base or wiki yes? Genuine q: Then why wouldn't the audience of the production site not just simply read the Google docs directly? Was it because the copy still needs to be housed in a website with its own UI theme? -
It was an internal tool with user-configurable logic available in addition to the CMS, so knowing all branching paths wasn’t as useful as knowing the specific business rule appropriate to the situation you found yourself in, as expressed by your inputs.

I was wondering whether google sheets could be used as a database that can be viewed/edited by end users. Did some googling and people say it's not reliable enough, better to stick with a real DB.
