If you are dependent on a platform company, you a) want a named account rep at that platform company and b) want the email addresses of people who are not your named account rep. Substantially every platform can do things a lot faster than their formal process can.

I'm also not thrilled about gatekeeping-style behavior where folks who know the secret password have better access than is commonly available, but in e.g. medicine the barrier to entry is a 6+ year degree program costing $X00k and on tech platforms it is "click 'Get started now'"

Most of my schoolyard playmates are now doctors. I enjoy immense privilege — of being able to access extremely advanced medical services same- or next-day, at cost or free. As a FOSS developer I seek to democratize such power for all, not just those who hobnob with tech CEOs/VPs.
