Really!? Would you recommend engineering management or PM as the way forward for senior engineer / tech lead? No big co experience though, and the said engineer sees themselves as an introvert, but can muster up decent social energy when necessary.

I'd hope that there was a career path for them to have incredible impact as a senior engineer w/o requiring transition to engineering management or PM, which are both different skill sets than being a senior engineering IC, which has several flavors/specialities available.
