How many hours would a standard CS grad spend *actually writing code* during the course of their degree?

Anomalous strengths at graduation: socket programming for client/server, Java Swing UIs, assembly, building toy CPUs, and discrete math. (They also taught compilers but I was distracted that semester and winged my way through w/o learning anything.)

Ok, that's not a bad tradeoff

Wow. It is absolutely surreal hearing that I've probably touched PostgreSQL more by now more than most CS grads will have touched any DB, even months on the job, and I'm not even in the data engineering section of the course (did build a web integration for such an API, though).
