When the truck selling that last one rolled up to Ogaki, which does *not* normally match Tokyo on depth of the food library, my brain nearly exploded. The proprietor spent a year in L.A. and said "Oh people at home would LOVE this."

When I managed a global team and the local office did something like that, I'd tell every remote worker to go buy the same/similar food item and expense it. If I paid for the local team then I made sure I paid for the whole team.

When I was young and foolish I promised some people apple pie if they helped me out at work. This was a mistake for many reasons, but one homemade apple pie and one cross-country Good Eggs order later I at least vaguely balanced the scales of guilt
