A thought I've had a few times about Lambda School, as a father: "Hmm either I could pay for a child's education or I could pay for Lambda School, living expenses for a year, a one-year trip to any major world city, *and* $100k of seed funding to first startup/house/etc."

For reasons which are complicated to explain on Twitter, Japanese undergrad is the absolute triumph of the signaling theory of education: nothing that happens in undergrad matters at all, professors and students absolutely know this. Minimal attempts are made to teach or learn.

and the quality of education in the UK is *much* better than America, and much cheaper. Go to Oxford and do Lambda School part time. sorted.
