This. Without the flexibility/power of Excel (because we're were stuck on the office suit), some requirements of my 7 years in management accounting would have been materially impossible to handle (financial closing planning, budget/trends planning etc...)

I am amazed to see people saying “jira” which basically doesn’t work for non engineers (data 2 years old). Asana is not bad but generally agree with
@patio11 that we are roughly “generation 0” on solving this problem. -
You can use Jira for non technical or engineering projects. I’ve been using it for 7 years across different teams. Most non-engineers don’t like it at first but once you see how powerful it can be, you get hooked.
