Also if you think we get any form of self-driving vehicles launch in next 20 years in wide deployment in cities then you can have cooking done at centralized kitchens and delivery done by uncrewed vans streetside with pickup assisted by kiosk/smartphone.

This is already the case for myself and many of my urban professional colleagues. Grubhub + city infrastructure alone got us to a place where highly paid, stressed professionals with no "homemaker" choose delivery/takeout over cooking more often than not.

US cities are outliers globally, even among wealthy countries, in declining mass transit usage.

and I don't know of any evidence that ride sharing is actually *replacing* public transit use at scale, like Cowen claims. "number of rideshare trips up, number of transit trips down" does not mean that, as I'd hope an economist would understand.

I hope you’re wrong, but I agree this is rather plausible. Cooking will certainly be affected significantly, I am less certain about fully cooked meals being the overwhelming winner.
