Who still has open arcs on GoT? Jorah, Brienne, Grey worm, Thormund all had their arcs completed. Anyone else narratively “dead” now?

Jaime has to kill Cersei still. Jon and Dany have stuff to do. Sansa has to run Winterfell. Theon probably will complete his arc next episode. Varys has more to do. I forget who’s still on Arya’s list. Davos’ story feels open. The Hound has to see his bro.

Podrick’s done too. Won the approval of Brienne. Had a drink with Tyrion. Sang a song. He dies next episode.

I’m with the theory that the battle goes badly. Tier 2-3 characters all die. Tier 1’s escape off to the Iron Islands. Bronn rescues Jaime and takes him and the Hound back to King’s Landing in a footrace against the Night King.

King’s Landing gets sacked by White Walkers. Everyone dies. Jaime has a great scene with Cersei. Kills her and sits on the Throne again for a moment watching as the walkers rush in. Hound has some finale beat with his brother. Bronn slips out.

Maybe Dany gives her life to help the Tier 1’s escape the Night King, resolving her arc by showing she’s overcome her throne lust.

Sam of course lives to write the story down.

Tyrion seems to want to be the loremaster and Sam rejected the value of knowledge from books, so my bet: Sam "People always forget I was the first man to kill a White Walker" Tarly dies on his feet facing the enemy.

I like the odds of that. I’d like them more had the writers let him keep his sword.

my $ still on Sam writes it - remember the undead looked right at him and marched by when he was north of wall... overall disappointing output from our two know-it-all characters (not Tyrion, who has been out of his depth)
