Ironically, I expect a lot of folks who write about "tech is teh evil" belong to a social class which will give much more accurate and actionable intelligence to their younger cousins than those articles will.

It seems like in every decade there's one aspect of technology that gets scapegoated. In the 70s it was chemicals In the 80s it was nuclear power In the 90s it was fossil fuels. In the 00s it was plastics. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
