I agree with this. Two questions it pushes 1. What is main constraint on this loop? Google churn rate? Google hiring? 2. Technically could go path elite schools did. Expand meritocratic channel to wash incumbent elitism. Which makes it nec but not sufficient for cascade

Credentials narrow the employer's search, but also heavily bias it, in a way which tends to produce shared blind spots in the resulting culture. Companies who avoid that trap will outperform those who don't. How GS acts is irrelevant, next to Google and others who do get it.
