(This has already basically happened prior to Series B or so; the big question is whether it happens to B/C as well. One wonders who will win growth rounds, mutual funds or SoftBank or funds, but I'm glad that my day job is not attempting to build differentiation for money.)

I think over next 15~20 years we'll see most of investments move to crypto cause it is far easier to orchestrate cross-border and everybody is tired of good investment opportunities available mostly just to SF VCs.

if there is so much money competing for tech investments why would a founder take a dilutive equity investment from a friend instead of a less expensive form of capital from professional investors with less leverage?
