Hey @patio11, what do you think of a big Valley-based internet company asking job candidates in Japan to give their detailed salary breakdown for the past 3 years in a neat XLS form and attach copies of their 3 latest payslips before starting compensation negotiations?

But if it's a deal, there's not enough signal for the company to tell if it was the optimal offer from their perspective. Them's the breaks!

The capitalist in me wants to say that skill in execution of business is why one gets paid the big bucks and that if one has a suboptimal outcome in negotiation then one should get better at one’s job rather than trying to get employees to compromise their negotiating position.
