There seems to me to be a disruption requirement Patrick. Voip is not high tech until it disrupts my pots spend. Virtualization is not until my physical server count is too high Datacenter CapEx is not till cloud Opex comes along

I feel reasonably confident that if I were to describe the exact mechanics of FICO but call it “AI developed in China” that 98% of the NYT editorial board, 98% of Congress, and 80% of my professional acquaintances would say “high tech” or “implausible science fiction.”
